Die Besonderheit von XXY liegt in der Multifunktionalität der Kleidungsstücke. Fast alle Modelle ermöglichen mehrere Tragweisen und emanzipieren den Käufer von vorgefertigten Kleiderwelten. Die Schnitte orientieren sich ausschliesslich an geometrischen Formen wie Rechtecken und Trapezen, wobei der Akt der Faltung als Modell der Transformation verstanden wird.
Die Variabilität von XXY Kleidung soll nicht nur durch die Schnitte geschaffen werden, sondern auch durch die Auswahl des Materials, welches unabhängig von der jeweiligen Saison eingekauft wird.
Mit jeder Kollektion werden neue Unikate geschaffen, welche mit einer Kennnummer (Bsp. XXY 19) versehen werden. Da die Kleidungsstücke kein fixes Oben und Unten haben, sind die Etiketten mit der Kennnummer abnehmbar und flexibel wieder an zu setzen.
XXY versucht den Genderdiskurs (insbesondere Intersexualität) von einer abstrahierten und ungewohnten Seite zu beleuchten und neue Impulse zu geben.
XXY Kleidung richtet sich an aussergewöhnliche und starke Menschen, welche mit ihrer Kleidung bewusst ein Zeichen setzen wollen.

The characteristic feature of XXY clothing lies in its multifunctional use. Practically every model allows for multiple ways of wearing, thus emancipating the customer from the world of prefabricated attire. The cuts are based solely on geometrical forms such as rectangles and trapezoids, whereby the act of folding is understood as the paradigm/model of transformation.
The variability of XXY clothing is achieved not through the cuts alone, but also through the choice of material, which is purchased regardless of the particular season.
With every new collection, one of a kind pieces are created which are provided with an identification number (for example XXY 19). As the pieces have no fixed side on which they are to be worn, the tags with the identification number are detachable and easily re-attached at the position of your choice.
XXY aims to illuminate the discourse on gender (especially transsexuality) from an abstract and unexpected angle, giving new impulses.
XXY clothing addresses itself to unconventional, strong personalities who want their clothing to make a definite statement.
